I grew up in California with a deep love for art. Stealing comic books from my older brother, I began copying every superhero I could find. That's where I first realized people could draw for money. I drew almost nothing but comic book heroes and villains from that point on.
I moved to Utah to attend BYU for illustration and I began to see more and more of the art world and how I could fit. After seeing my wife read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? to our first child all I wanted to do was make children's books.
Since graduating I have done illustration work for BYU Independent Study, Imagine Learning, React! Games, Character Design Quarterly, Familius, Future House Publishing, and I currently work at Cedar Fort, Inc. I have illustrated and continue to work on a number of books and have worked as an author on two.
I also love basketball, golf, hockey, fishing, dabbling in knife making, but nothing comes before my family and my art.
